30 Oct HALLOWEEN AT OUR SCHOOL
Halloween is celebrated on October 31st every year, but few people know that. ‘Halloween’ gets its name from a traditional Catholic celebration. It evolved from the term ‘All Hallows’ Day’, which we now know as ‘All Saints’ Day’. This is celebrated on November 1st, which makes Halloween, Hallows’ Day Eve. People then shortened this to Halloween. Here are some pictures in which our students show the way they have celebrated Halloween at school.
HALLOWEEN EN NUESTRO COLEGIO
Halloween se celebra el 31 de octubre cada año, pero poca gente sabe que “Halloween” debe su nombre a una celebración tradicional católica. Evolucionó del término “el día de Todos los Consagrados”, el cual conocemos ahora como “el día de Todos los Santos”. Se celebra el 1 de noviembre, lo que hace Halloween, la víspera del día de los Consagrados. Con el tiempo se abrevió a Halloween. Aquí tienen algunas fotos en la que nuestros alumnos muestran la manera en que ellos han celebrado Halloween en el colegio.
